I was walking down the road today and suddenly various images began to flash in my mind. I was remembering various excuses I had made in the past and the effects it had on me, colleagues, job, friends and family.
An excuse attempts to divert the attention from you and explain several reasons for not accomplishing or carrying out various tasks. It puts up a wall of defense for exhibiting particular behaviors such as failing to keep promises, quitting certain habits etc. Not too long ago I wrote on the subject of procrastination, its effects and ways to deal with it.

It takes time getting the picture to fit and once it does, it takes consistency, determination and a few other things I talked about in my previous post, to ensure your dreams come to fruition.

We all have dreams and visions of our future, what our lives should look like, how it should be patterned, what levels in life we hope to attain etc.. I asked around of what dreams various people had and I came up with many interesting ones. Some had dreams to be rich people, command so much wealth, set up charities, doctors, responsible wives/husbands, homemakers, teachers, succeed in various examinations, excel in various businesses, have a fleet of cars, travel around the world etc.

Is there anyone who agrees with this statement?
Is there anyone who has experienced the feelings of guilt, anxiety, powerlessness, uncertainty because you are always procrastinating?
Is there anyone ready to make a change for the better and fight the desires to keep procrastinating?
Let’s starts by defining the habit of procrastinating.
