Hello John,

Very interesting analogy given here. How come we can't see the need to care for one another? I'd leave that for the readers to answer

Hi Ayo. I loved your post and hope there are more caring people out there like your responder.

I thought I'd send your readers a little mystery story about caring. Everybody loves a mystery don't they? Hope so. Anyhow, here goes. Imagine two arms, each with a hand, both part of one body. Unfortunately, these hands have no idea they're attached to each other through a single person. Something's gone wrong with their brains I guess, because they can't see the simple truth. Namely, each hand actually IS the other. There's no dividing line between them. Each different hand merges smoothly with the other via that one body. O.K., so now imagine the right hand couldn't care less about his neighbor. He wouldn't lift a hand....(pun intended)...to help the other guy out no matter what. He wouldn't come to his neighbor's aid, even if the other hand was in danger of being cut off, letting the body that nurtures them both bleed to death. A pretty sad and short-sighted state of affairs. Alright, so what do you think would happen if Mr. Right over there suddenly realized he and his worst buddy across the way were part of each other? Do you think he'd CARE more? I do. And where's the mystery you ask? Well, you and I and everyone else are really like those hands. And the mystery is this. How come we can't see it? Cheers Ayo. John Duffield
