I think we tend to want to compare ourselves to others around us. We spend a lot of time worrying about who we want to be instead of celebrating who we are. I love your article today. Your suggestions on getting focused are excellent.

Ayo, great stuff. I haven’t heard that term “inferiority complex” in a long time which could mean 1) it’s not one of my complexes, 2) I’m around a lot of folks with very healthy egos that have rubbed off on me or 3) I’m in denial .

Each of these things are integral to our general health and well being and if given enough attention, really aren’t so hard to sustain. Thank you for the encouragement and for making it all sound so easy.

Hi Ayo – For me inferiority complex has shown up as questioning my legitimacy – Do I really know this? Can I really do this? Some years ago a wise mentor said to me, “You’re too humble.” My questioning had led me to cover my light rather than shine it. I learned a lot in that moment, and I will never forget it. Thanks for helping me remember that! Lovely post.
