I apologize I didn’t let you know I had received my book! Please accept my apologies!

Everyone Communicates but few connect sounds like a book I really need right now. With my daughter’s impending wedding, everyone is talking and not very many people are connecting! I have always understood how important it is to communicate your message in a way that it can be received but I had never witnessed the absolute chaos than can occur when people are just talking and not taking the time to listen or understand. This wedding has been a major wake up call.

Great selections this month!

Hello Ayo,

Well, given the unlimited amount of information online, I’m taken by the subtitle “Everyone Communicates, Few Connect.” Your dedication and generosity here is remarkable, Ayo. I hope to contribute an e-book in the future :)

Take care,
Kim

Hi Ayo,

Nice challenge my friend. I think “7 habits of highly effective people” is a book that can help many people learn to become effective. I usually like books who have a list….:)

Hi Ayo, How are you?
I think ‘everyone communicates, few connect’ is a great title. How often are we in a conversation with someone and not really focusing on their words? Perhaps we are thinking about what to say next, what to have for dinner or any one of a million and one other things! To build rapport and connect we need to be really present in the conversation – and that is sometimes easier said than done!

Great idea, very generous and thoughtful of you,
Have a great weekend,
Kate.

Hi Ayo,
I liked 7 habits. Steven Covey is clear and personal with his writing. Disclaimer…I don’t always remember to apply the 7 habits, why is that?

Everyone communicates, few connect covers a subject that is near and dear to my heart. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Communications is the tool that is most used from the tool kit of life. It’s a critical piece of personal (internal) action, and the quality of external relationships (family, friends and everybody else.) .

Make me a winner. Please.
Have Fun,
Jim

I must read the book Everyone Communicates Few Connect.
Reaching out to others is an addiction to me. I keep communication lines alive, emails, texts, phone calls, social networking, name it, I use it to connect with friends, family and others. I share good stuffs – articles, links online, quotes, info, etc.
I don’t get the same response from them and when I feel rejection, I back off. Have I invaded privacy, have I treaded on touchy matters?
I hope to learn how to communicate more properly. I am always happy connected.
